Always wanted to give acting a try?
Looking for a quick brushup before the big audition?
Need an objective opinion to give you some perspective?
Always been curious about acting and
the theatre?
|
|
Well, you're in luck! Drop us a line, and Steve will be happy to work with you one-on-one. Run
the monologue, learn the scene, get comfortable looking silly, get the hang of reading Shakespeare--you
name it.
But you do have to take the first step: contact us. You'll be glad you did!
P.S. If you really can't wait, you can pick up a few pointers--for free--from Steve's how-to article,
"Own Your Audition."

"But... are you qualified?"
|
|
Absolutely! STEVE ANDERSON has been teaching for years, on every possible level.
He's taught
acting and improvisation classes, workshops, and summer camps for children, teens, and adults at York
Little Theatre, DreamWrights Youth & Family Theatre, Theatre Harrisburg, Open Stage of Harrisburg, Encore
Entertainment, and Penn State Harrisburg's Kids College.
He's taught scene-study at Theatre Harrisburg,
directed dozens of student plays, and directed the fall play at Boiling Springs High School.
He's
taught college-level Shakespeare and dramatic literature courses at Gettysburg College, Elizabethtown
College, Harrisburg Area Community College, and Emory University.
He's taught theatre history
at Elizabethtown College and Susquehanna University, and he helped to teach a two-semester theatre history
course at Emory University.
He also lectures on pre-Shakespearean theatre as a Commonwealth
Speaker listed with the Pennsylvania Humanities Council.
He even writes about theatre--here, check
out one of his how-to articles.
Oh, and despite the old saw about "those who can't," Steve
certainly can act, himself--that's how he makes his living, after all.
